The ultimate pick for budding drummers

The budget-friendly Millenium Rookie E-Drumset is perfectly tailored to youngsters' needs and features very space-saving measurements. The drum module's built-in sound library includes 68 different sounds and features an additional twelve preset drum kits, comprising a compilation of specific sounds combined with different sound parameters and allowing the player to switch to the desired musical genre in a heartbeat (or a drum beat, so to speak). The drum kit is powered by a power supply unit (included in the scope of delivery), but can also be operated with a standard power bank via the USB-C connection.

The full package

The Millenium Rookie E-Drum Set comes with the standard configuration of four 7" mesh pads for toms and snare, three 8" cymbal pads, two pedals for the bass drum and hi-hat, and a drum rack. The labelled multi-cable connects all of the pads and pedals to the central "e-drum module", which controls all of the drumset's settings and is equipped with a 6.3mm jack line output (mono) for sound reproduction via external audio devices. The module also features a headphone output as well as an AUX input for hooking up all kinds of playback devices, both of which are in a handy 3.5mm stereo mini-jack format.

Beats and joy for age 3 and up!

Since it is height-adjustable between 57cm and 80cm, the affordable Millenium Rookie E-Drumset is the perfect choice for children from the age of three onwards, and it can easily "grow" along with the player for several years to come. What is more, the small amount of floor space required makes it a great fit even for smaller playrooms. In addition to a wide selection of sounds and preset drum kits, the Millenium Rookie E-Drumset also offers ten pre-programmed practice songs for up-and-coming drummers to play along. The scope of delivery includes not only the drum kit itself but also the assembly tools, cabling, and a pair of drumsticks to get started right away.

About Millenium

Millenium is one of Thomann's in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store’s range since 1995. More than 800 products – from drums and percussion through to accessories such as microphone stands, racks, and recording workstations – bear the Millenium label. These products are made by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. Since they are imported directly from the factory without any further distributors or sales companies, they can be sold at particularly attractive prices. Incidentally, one in every four Thomann customers has already purchased at least one Millenium product.

Play back and play along

Novice drummers can choose from ten pre-programmed practice songs, which they can play along to as they wish. The first step is to select one of the genre-specific drum kits and then choose one of the ten songs. The song is started by pressing the Metro/Play button on the e-drum module and stopped after this button is pressed again. If required, the metronome function can be added for some additional timing practice. Hooking up an audio playback device via the AUX input is also possible, allowing aspiring drummers to play along with their favourite songs on the Millenium Rookie E-Drumset.

PF
Un kit pour les débutants
Paul FRATTINI 13.02.2024
Les + :
- matériaux solides
- montage facile

KE
Great piece of kit!
Kieran E. 22.09.2025
We bought the Rookie drum set for our son’s birthday last year at his request. He has an intellectual disability and loves dabbling with musical instruments. We are still amazed by how much he loves this kit. He plays it several times a day for anything up to half an hour at a time. The mesh heads provide a reasonably realistic feel and are quieter than rubber pads when headphones are in use. As usual the package arrived within a week of ordering. I assembled the kit and as a non drummer I found it very easy to put together. If you’re considering this kit it’s worth bearing in mind that it’s not very big so pay attention to the dimensions. The small size means it fits easily into a standard room but if the child has any height at all s/he may find it too small. Having said that our son is in his teens and he has learned enough and practises enough to warrant investing in a bigger kit so it really is a great place to start. 15 months after purchase the three cymbals have stopped working. Thomann are as impressive as ever with their customer service and three new cymbals are on the way after just a couple of emails. The three year warranty is a great addition to the Thomann customer service. If you’re looking for an entry level kit for your child you won’t go wrong with this. The price is competitive and the quality is as good as the customer service. We’re already window shopping the Millennium range for the next drum kit, that’s how happy we are. We have the kit connected to a small spare amp we had for daytime playing and a set of over ear headphones for night and early morning. It really does do a great job.

C
Excellenr drum kit for kids
Carlesmi 15.04.2023
I am very satisfied with the purchase of the Millenium Rookie E-Drum Set electronic drum kit from Thomann. The drum kit arrived in perfect condition and within a reasonable time. The quality of the materials and manufacturing is excellent and the sound it produces is very realistic and satisfying. It is a perfect instrument for beginners and enthusiasts who are looking to practice and improve their percussion skills at home. Additionally, the quality-price ratio is very good compared to other electronic drum kits on the market. In summary, I highly recommend this product

B
Nice for beginners
Borisboots 27.03.2024
I'm a guitarist, but I like drumming too, since it is not my main instrument, the flaws don't bother me too much.
it has some nice sounds and I can connect my phone via an aux cable so I can play with headphones. The pedals kina slide around, but if you put a carpet underneath it's fixed so not really a big deal.
One thing that kind of annoys me is the high hat pedal not really working properly all the time, but it's good for beginners and if you just like drumming on the side and don't wanna break the bank
