Has it's uses but not universal
Anonymous 12.01.2016
I bought this stand because I was intrigued by the design and it looked like it could be easily carried around. The plan was to use it for live shows to hold an electric Strat shaped guitar.

While the shape is really cool and the folding mechanism is a really good idea, there are a couple of cons that prevent me from rating this higher:
- The stand is flimsy and does not look like it would survive much beating and being careful with portable guitar stand is not what I was planning
- The fold out procedure is very easy to get wrong and if you apply a little too much force while opening from the wrong end, well mine doesn't quite close fully anymore.
- The guitar slides and while this isn't a problem if you set it carefully, it is impossible to just quickly set it on the stand like you do with a metal one

To sum up, it is a good portable stand if you are very careful with it and, well, this is the type of equipment you don't want to worry about. For my use, a metallic stand from Millenium is a miles better deal.

Flimsier than i expected

Got this for ease of packing and transport. The small form factor is great if you have to travel quite a bit. its easy to use and simple to adjust.

The issue I have with it is that it may be a bit too lightweight. your average guitar should sit just fine, but I find that i have to be quite careful with mine or it may randomly fall over. the plastic is very thin and i have doubts about how long this unit will last. I'll update after some road use.

Stable enough

This stand will hold your instrument if it's balanced right on it. Every time you use it, you'll have to make sure it is on there the right way... but once it is there, if nobody touches it, it stays there. Usable but you have to be able to handle stress.

Not the most solid but very portable
AndrewK 22.01.2014
I bought this stand primarily for mandolin but have also used it for electric and acoustic guitar. The sliding rubber supports allow for adjustment to fit the size of instrument. It's fairly lightweight plastic which has pros and cons: it folds up small and is easy to carry (or slip in a gig bag), but it's not as stable as a more solid metal stand. I've found that with the supports slid back for a smaller instrument it is less stable at the front, even lifting off the ground a little, but is much better with the supports slid forward and the instrument leaning back.

very compact and light, but ...

this would be great for taking to a gig or jam, but in your own house/studio you'd prefer something more solid really

Seems quite well made to me

Good idea - cheap material

The idea of a stand which is easy to carry is good. However in my opinion this particular stand is too light to trust my guitar on it - especially on stage. There is nothing wrong with the product and it can certainly be used at home. However, then it might miss its purpose and the whole idea of purchasing a stand which is light and easy to carry. I will certainly not purchase another one when this one breaks. Currently I rarely use it!

Not suitable for electric guitars
Tim Fialka 11.07.2022
Bought as a mobile solution for electric guitar. But, under the weight of almost any guitar, the legs of the stand diverge and the guitar is in danger of falling. I had to tie my legs with a strap to put on one of my lightest guitars.

It's just too flimsy and unstable and it looks like it could break at any moment, but it manages to hold my bass guitar.

Practical

Very easy to use and foldable, so I can carry it inside my bag or in the guitar case/bag. It fits both acoustic and electric guitars. It's not very stable and seems a little fragile. The guitar is very low, so - in example - if you have an acoustic guitar with the cable going out from the guitar center axis (as many acoustic guitars have) you need to have an angled jack or plug it out any time you lay the guitar on this stand ... it can be annoying!
