Durable with slightly rough sound
Jonathan5131, 03.08.2017
If you're looking for a set of maracas that have a thin sound like small shakers, these are not the maracas that you should buy. Their sound is quite rough, most probably they have quite large beads inside and the plastic outside cover makes the sound more rough. Their build makes them have a very good projection though and thus they might be ideal where louder sound production is required.

Great set of maracas
Daragh, 05.03.2015
These maracas are at a very affordable price for what you get. The wood handles are a nice touch. The sound is very good but they can be very loud sometiimes and a bit overpowering

Universell einsetzbar, aber laut!
27.07.2014

Salsa to go!
Stephan113, 28.06.2013
I decided after a long comparison for these Maracas, because they offer me this typical sound, as I know him from Salsa. No delicate hissing as with Egg Shakern, but very percussive "crackling", which is also excellent for double time throws and Rolls.
Exactly what I wanted!

And as already often written here: the things are really loud. Good for live - you can play unplugged. Only for practicing at home you need tolerant neighbors.

Stability & longevity leave nothing to be desired; The Maracas bought in September 2010 and nothing wobbles or dissolves.

Also the wood does not suggest that I have already played Claves with the handles.
