Erweiterung mit einzigartigem Sound

Ich habe mir dieses Becken gekauft, weil ich auf der Suche nach einer Erweiterung meines bestehenden Sets war. Prinzipiell wollte ich einen eher höheren, verwaschenen Sound mit kurzem Sustain, der sich in das Gesamtgefüge einpasst.

Das 16" Extra Thin Crash der Pure Alloy Custom Serie kam da wie gerufen. Der Sound entspricht der Beschreibung und sticht durch seine trockene, subtil-aggressive Art zwischen meinen Becken der Byzance-Serie hervor. Der Sound der Bell könnte für meinen Geschmack ein wenig facettenreicher sein, daher „nur“ vier Sterne.

Ich nutze dieses Becken vor allem für Fusion oder progressivere Genres als Abschluss langer Fill-Ins oder sogar als Crash-Ride. Wer auf der Suche nach einem eher klassischeren Sound ist, sollte dieses Becken vielleicht nicht als allererste Wahl einsetzen. Daher vergebe ich in der Gesamtnote ebenfalls „nur“ vier Sterne. Die Verarbeitungsqualität dieses Beckens ist, wie bei allen Meinl-Produkten, die ich besitze, top.
