Um kurze Akzente zu setzen, suchte ich ein geeignetes Splash (natürlich von Meinl ;-) ). Eigentlich stieß ich nur aus Zufall über das Meinl Byzance 10" Splash Brilliant. Als ich es in dem Vorführvideo sah und hört, war ich gleich begeistert. Ich hatte mich noch einige Wochen nach anderen Splashes umgeschaut, aber kein Anderes blieb mir so im Gedächtnis, wie Dieses. Also kaufte ich es und probierte es in meinem Set aus.
Meine Begeisterung hält bis heute an! Die Ansprache ist recht kurz und knackig, perfekt für kleine Akzente. Es ertönt recht hoch, aber fügt sich so sehr gut in meine Becken mit ein. So einen spritzigen und frischn Klang von einem Splash hatte ich ehrlich gesagt noch nie im Ohr, und wusste vom ersten Moment zu überzeugen.

El mejor Splash que he llevado en mi set, tiene explosividad y brillo a partes iguales, el acabado es perfecto y la fabricación muy notable. La gama Byzance es pura calidad y sonido ;)

nicht aufdringlich/ fügt sich ein

Nach durchhören mehrerer Sounddemos von verschiedenen splashes war ich mir immer noch nicht sicher, da die Soundbeispiele nie richtig schön klingen und da man sich schlecht vorstellen kann wie sich ein Becken so in das eigene Set-up einfügt .

Da ich aber von Klangqualität der Byzance-Serie schon vorher überzeugt war und verschieden Becken von Meinl spiele, habe ich es gewagt.
Der Klang ist wirklich toll und ich würde behaupten das sich dieses Splash in fast alle Cymbal-Setups einfügt. Es ist nicht aufdringlich und hat einen kurzen Sustain. Es setzt jedoch trotzdem gut durch.

Es ist die Oberklasse und daher natürlich etwas kostenintensiver, jedoch lohnt sich der Kauf bisher.
