Fantastic

Have used Matons for a few years now, and have pretty much put my Taylors, Martins to bed for a while. Don't get me wrong the build quality of top end Martins and Taylor's is great, but one thing you will find with a Maton is that its a serious working musicians guitar, it performs night in /night out. The electrics are in my opinion the best and these guitars set up really well( low action etc) The last few expensive Martins I had were great but the expensive tone woods come with a downside ( feedback)!! These Matons seem to do what is required and will perform regardless of the style you play. Great Austrailan woods and good build quality should give you a lifetime of reliable picking!

A
Great Guitar!
Anonymous 08.01.2016
I had never bought a guitar online before but had played several Matons over the years. I was looking to get a smaller body guitar without compromising on sound - so - I decided to get this SRS808 and wasn't disappointed.

Good brightness from the Cedar top, strong/ tight bass, great clarity and consistency through out!
I play many different styles of music but mainly Jazzy kinda stuff and I think this guitar would be at home in most situations.
The Tasmanian blackwood looks great, the finish is good and the guitar is BEAUTIFUL!
The AP5 pro is a great pick up, the guitar seriously delivers plugged in.

The guitar comes fitted with Elixir Phosphor Bronze strings which I think are very bright. I would recommend to try out Elixir Bronze strings to not accentuate the brightness.

Highly recommended!
