Rock solid but too big?

This is a very sturdy case with really good build quality. I'm sure it will protect the equipment really well. The price is good compared with other brands. However, it is stated as being specifically designed for the Rane Twelve decks. They do fit but the case is much deeper than it needs to be for those decks (and the mixer)! I appreciate that there's room required for cabling etc. but it's WAY deeper. Just feels a shame when it's supposed to be custom designed for the job.
