Got this for clipping a mic onto a snare and it is amazing. You can clip on to either rim and the goose neck gives great versatility and getting the perfect angle on your mic.

Disappointing

Bought this in the hope that I could have 2 mics off one stand (one for beatboxing looping), another for vocals - and it's just appalling for that purpose. I think for mounting mics off a drum, it's probably fit for purpose, but the way the grip mechanism works means it won't grip anything cylindrical and also the gooseneck part is just too flexible and can't take any weight without drooping.

Not up to the usual Thomann sourcing quality. Stay away unless you're sure it's what you need - it's in no way a versatile bit of kit.

Je trouve que le maintien du col de cygne manque de serrage il a tendance à glisser dans le passage. autre m'en dit avec une vis de serrage cela serait peut etre mieux.
Moi je l'utilse pour un SM57 sur une caisse claire pearl freeflo et il passe tres bien sur le cercle. Je le recommande pour des micro un peu plus leger tout de même. Tres bon produit dans l'ensemble

Nicht für alle Comfort Curve Congas geeignet - Klemmvorrichtung nur für kräftige Hände

Ich habe die AUDIX D-Clamp, die Rimclamp-M von MEINL , die LP Mic Claw Gooseneck sowie die K&M 240/5 Mikrofonhalterung an Comfort Curve Congas und Bongos verglichen.
Klarer Sieger ist die K&M 240/5 Mikrofonhalterung, weil diese Claws an den Spannhaken der Instrumente befestigt werden können und materialtechnisch keine Wünsche offen lassen.
Die AUDIX D-Clamp kann dort auch angebracht werden, allerdings ist der Spannbock aus Plastik. Das Gegenlager bricht bei geringen Belastungen einfach ab. Ich habe es an zwei Claws probiert. So etwas muss aus Stahl gefertigt werden, wie bei K&M oder LP.
Die MEINL und die LP Claws sind oft ungeeignet, weil sie nicht an alle Comfort Curve-Rim verrutschungssicher angebracht werden können. Dies ist möglicherweise auch abhängig vom Congahersteller. Auch fehlen anständige Gummierungen, die helfen könnten. Grundsätzlich kann aber die nicht ausreichende Breite der Klammern ein Problem sein.
Eine Installationsvorrichtung für Spannhaken habe bei MEINL/LP ich nicht gefunden. Wenn überhaupt hat LP das etwas besser, weil robuster ausgeführt.
Wer "Traditional Cuban Rims" benutzt, ist hier besser dran. Aber auch dann sind die MEINL/LP Claws nicht optimal. Bei MEINL ist der Schwanenhals länger, aber auch wenn man ihn kurz einstellt etwas wackelig. SM 57 oder e906 Mics würden möglicherweise nicht dauerhaft an der Position bleiben. Dafür kann man die MEINL Claw gut festschrauben, was bei LP nicht geht, denn da arbeitet man mit einer Klemmfeder, die sehr stramm ist und ordentlich Druck benötigt.
Die AUDIX D-Clamp wäre ein gutes Teil, wenn die Verschraubungseinheit nicht aus Plastik wäre.
Wenn man sich nicht für die K&M 240/5 Mikrofonhalterung entscheiden möchte, ist die gute alte LP 592A-X Mic Claw with Z-Rod für Comfortcurve und Traditionalrim eine Alternative. Damit gewinnt man allerdings keinen Schönheitspreis.
