Great learning book

Introductory words:
Last year I had planned to really learn drumming. I have been using drums for a couple of years. I could play some standard rhythms. Now, reading should help me learn and motivate. So I bought Modern Drumming 1.

About the book:
It is well constructed, initially explains the hardware of the drums, the notation used, how to count, and all that is so. Then it is also going directly with exercises. Actually, the whole book consists only of exercises. Different beat rhythms to different music styles. At the beginning the typical standards. However, the claim is growing steadily and it is explained how to make a supposed super-light exercise fast times to the hard problem. It still remains a half-year (as long as I own the work).

The CD:
A shortcoming, however, is (at least for me): The CD is unfortunately not satisfactory. I would have liked all the exercises to be there. At the beginning you get at least an impression, as an exercise has to listen. The play-alongs on it are however quite successful, but not breathtaking.

Conclusion:
All in all I regret the purchase no piece. Due to the constantly increasing difficulty level and exercises you always remain motivated. The insights into the various music styles and their typical beat rhythms have been well done. There is an unqualified recommendation from me. In a few months I will get the successor.
