This is a fine guitar stand. But I don't think that material is actual cork. It's just a sort of plastic that looks like cork.

What can I say, you can't go wrong with K&M.

The stand is well built and sturdy. Easy to use, the adjustable width locks into place with four options including closed. If I ever need another stand for acoustic guitar I will buy this one and I am sure it will last me a lifetime.

Bought as opposed to models with exposed hinge, obviously pricey for the quality of the product. Also as mentioned by others its a cork finish (texturised rubber). Happy with it!
