HyDrive HD 210

Steviebass, 30.03.2018
I bought the Hartke HD210 about 1 month ago, the reason for the purchase was to down size my rig, save on the carrying and have more space in my vehicle. From A Hartke VX410 a Hartke 410XL (on top) along with a Hartke HA350 head. Nothing wrong with the sound, I love it!
The set up now is the VX410 the HD 210 and the HA350. This rig I think gives a fuller rounder sound (thinking along the sound from a Ampeg rig)
The power handling of the HD 210 (500w) means I can hook up the HA350 head on its own for smaller gigs. I tried this out and the same full rounded sound I was very pleased with is there, there is a 3 way switch on the back to change the tweeter volume (-6db, off, and on), I didn?t notice to much difference with that until I tried out a bit of slap. (I don?t normally play any slap), and then it was clear to hear the difference in the settings, I have left mine set at -6db. Which suits the type of music our band plays Blues / Soul.
The difference in the weight from a 410 to the HD210 is significant you can carry it with one hand,
The construction is as good as my other cabinets which have been gigged for about 8 years and are as solid as day one.
The textured vinyl covering I don?t think is as durable as the rugged carpet on the older cabinets and may get torn if scraped hard on other equipment, I had to glue the torn vinyl back down on the HA350 head, but this is only cosmetic and no damage to the actual wood work, it gives it the road worn look so many people are after.
I think I have a very good sounding rig at a lot less cost than the Ampeg rig I play with at our rehearsal studio.
In conclusion I am very happy with my set up and sound, be it the Hartke HD210 on its own or with the VX410. (Must try the HD 210 with the 410XL cabinet now). If it got stolen, yes, I would replace it with the same.

clear, clean and ready!

Rodolphe1, 16.03.2018
baffle coupled to my head hartke ha2500 for work at home / repet '/ concert.
Sound: clear, straight, good definition. I expected treble a little dry or slamming well not at all. The bass is tonic and well done. The sound is transparent. I mean that this speaker does not color the sound of the instrument.
Coupled with the head hartke, I get a really good rendering of my fender jazz bass aerodyne meme with ropes a little tired.
By cons if you use a rotten bass, there is no miracle, the sound will not be good!
This speaker is quite handy, its weight is correct and she is beautiful.
If I had to add a second speaker: a 4x10 of the same range to add a bit of sound projection or a 1x15 if I want to do in the very heavy.
For: clarity, definition, power. price / quality ratio and size / power. the protective grille that seems indestructible!
Against: no wheels, lack of color that may not please. Do not have your big sister! Can be a bit fair for concerts in concert halls of more than 200 people ...
the couple head / pregnant for a budget of about 500 ¤ seems a good investment for a motivated beginner. As for the pros, I think they know this brand!
