Cheap bass very big?
Frank183, 03.09.2013
I am a drummer and I just wanted to get a new instrument, but ...
I like the bass.

One should know that an acoustic bass has already produced more grip sounds than a comparable electric bass (I did not know before). A normal electric bass amp goes, an acoustic guitar amplifier goes really better.
Now with this model but the problem arises, that the pressure necessary the me necessary pressure at higher Watts. Therefore, a relatively expensive acoustic amplifier (Marschal AS 100, Roland AC 60 / AC90) is necessary in order to be able to perform on the stage.
In the case of acoustic sessions, my Roland Street Cube is enough for me. Then the Western guitar can not be amplified. But I do not care, I play the bass eh at home unplugged, where he does not disturb neighbors.
And I like the sound. If professionals at the mixer are the usually also a great sound.

After the purchase I have learned that one should start with a 4Saiter, which I can understand only conditionally. I just get used to not playing the upper string on most songs.
I also have no major problems me to get used to the slightly larger grip distances (in relation to my concert guitar). But I'm so drummer. My guitar level is limited to Beethoven & Evergreens.

I find him in relation to the price also very neat processed, the paint is fine (clear is also better, but in view of the price more than okay).
The bass does not stink very much after unpacking (keyword: "solvent") and when compared to a high-quality tuner, the same remains in the gigbag. The built-in tuner works well, the equalizer works according to my feeling quite coarse-motor, but usable.
The whole bass is rather limited by the settings, you can exchange the strings & strings for other strings, that was it. (That's why only three stars)
But I am satisfied and get along well with the instrument.

The first delivered bass had however a small Macke, which was replaced by the friendly Thomannteam but immediately against a new one.
I have found the bass taste and I think for the stage an additional beginner bass.
As I said, I like the thing, especially since I can not find an alternative for the price.
