Musste nacharbeiten...

Musste meine Epiphone mittels Dremel nachbearbeiten, also am Halter noch etwas abschleifen, da ich unbedingt das vorhandene Loch benutzen wollte und kein zusätzliches in die Zarge der Epi bohren wollte.
Ausserdem hätte das Teil die vorhandene Bohrung nicht ganz abgedeckt, musste also so bearbeitet werden, dass man es tiefer bekommt.
Wurde zusätzlich so angepasst, dass das Teil auch nicht am Binding aufliegt - so kratzt es nicht am Lack, da die Auflagefläche nur im Bereich der Zargenbohrung liegt.
Mit einem Schleifer (Minitrennscheibe) ist das eine Sache von wenigen Minuten.

Sicher, man kann das Teil auch einfach dranschrauben, aber ich wollte es eben so - ohne zusätzliche Löcher, mit einer Optik, bei der man nicht sieht, dass hier nachträglich etwas gemacht wurde. Also, kein "Rumgepfusche" :D

Habe dies bei einer Epiphone Dot, sowie einer Epi ES-175 gemacht.
Optisch wirklich eine Aufwertung, auch wenn der ursprüngliche Blechwinkel den Dienst genau so gut verrichtet, vll. sogar noch einfacher im Handling ist. Aber, da ich das Pickguard eh selten abmache... ist dies zu vernachlässigen.

Optisch wertet es meine Epis auf, es sind oft solche Kleinigkeiten, wie auch die Potiknöpfe... um die Sache stimmig zu machen.

Von der Verarbeitung gibt es nichts negatives zu berichten. Durch das Nacharbeiten konnte ich sehen, dass es sich um verchromtes Messing handelt.
