The best Hi-Hat Clutch I've used!
This Hi-Hat clutch is the best solution for any drummer out there!
What really sells this product is the quick release system because personally, and I'm sure many other drummers have experienced this, it can become rather tedious twisting your hi-hat clutch off every time you need to take your cymbals off. This system makes it so much easier as you just have to pull it off and push it back on! This reduces the time taken greatly and the system doesn't affect the ability to tighten your hi-hat. Additionally, the new clamping system (pulling the hi-hat rod rather than pushing it to tighten) means your hi-hat never comes undone. The overall quality is excellent and I'm sure it will last me for a very long time!

Easy, Speedy
Push the button, remove the felt, take off the top hi-hat cymbal. It's as quick as that! No need for drum key or anything else. I use these on all my hi-hat stands. The amount of 'grip' holding your top hat is just the same as normal, via knurled and threaded 'washers' as on other clutches. The wing-nut assembly at the top holds everything to the rod securely with very little effort.

Very handy quick release clutch
Really good design, making setting up and breaking down of hihat cymbals ultra quick and easy. Clutch uses a push-pull locking mechanism, operable by hand (no tools required, not even a drum key), to drop out the bottom of the clutch from underneath the top cymbal. Fitting the clutch is even easier and takes seconds.
I've only marked it 4 stars for quality as overall the clutch doesn't have the more refined and higher quality look of Pearl and DW clutches I own. I also wonder how long the quick release mechanism will last if the clutch is being fitted and removed many, many times. Only time will tell. On the positive side, the price is reasonable and won't break the bank if need arises to replace it in the future.
Overall, I can highly recommend this for giiging drummers and those who are setting up and breaking down their hi hats on a regular basis.

A great thing to have for drummers on the move or share spaces
I have purchased this product do be able to quickly swap between hi-hats. It's especially useful in shared practice room where you want to use your own cymbals instead of the in-house.
Operating is fast and easy in 3 steps, undo lug, pull out, press the button and your hi-hat's out. As simple as that.
Quality is Gibraltar and it feels like it's going to last a long way. I preferred this one over the other solutions offered by the competition which seemed to have flimsier mechanism.

I did not buy this clutch for a quick change of cymbals, which I do not often do :), but for reliable fastening at the bottom under the cymbal, which in my case was fully justified. It also very strongly holds the clutch in its position due to this design of a protracted fastening

I am buying it again
I have tried two different quick release clutches, one from Tama and this one from Gibraltar. I like this one much better, it is better built and handles easier and it isn't all plastic like Tama's. It also feels like it will last a lifetime, you only need to change the felts I guess.
You just push the button on this one to release it, that's it, once mounted it holds in place, not like your regular clutch that can loosen overtime.
So to summarize if I loose it by accident I am definitely buying it again. Recommend it with confidence. If you are looking for quick release clutch look no more.

does what it says!
a very good investment to purchase this item as it speeds up my setup time.
I usually just leave this in my cymbal bag. when i need to attach my own hats, i just whip this out and install it on my hats immediately.
then i just remove the house hats with the hi hat clutch intact. saves the time.
only cons for this is the price. other than that its a great product to have for all gigging drummers

Good product
Bought this to replace my old one Yamaha Hi-Hat clutch and have to say this is much better product than Yamaha's one. Very easy to set-up, it is possible to change cymbals very fast. Bottom Hi-Hat cymbal can be changed just in second. Very good quality.
