In my opinion memory clamps or any kind of memory is a must have on any stand! This is one of the best out there, relatively cheap and sturdy enough to hold. Own a few, and my stands probably give out earlier than these!

Gibraltar Hinged Memory Clamp

Being hinged, you can add these memory clamps after you have played about with the positions of your stands. Once fitted, they lock down everything tight.
