Ich spiele ein Tenorbanjo Bacon & Day Silver Bell # 1 von 1926. Seit über 23 Jahren spiele ich in einer! Jazzband Musiktitel von 1926 bis Anfang 1930 (Armstrong - Duke Ellington). So 20-30 Gigs im Jahr und ebenso vielen Proben.
Die GHS Saiten Tenor Light Set 220 spiele ich seit 2003, da die sehr guten Black Diamond N 797-1/2 Saiten aus Ft. Worth/Texas nicht mehr verfügbar sind. Die GHS Saiten sind klanglich für mich absolut die beste Alternative. Nach ca. 5-8 Gigs kommt aus klanglichen Gründen ein neuer Satz Saiten drauf.Mit einem Richelieu Steg und einem strammen REMO Weatherking Fell klingt das Banjo B&D hervorragend; sogar von den Bandmitgliedern wird der Banjoklang gelobt.
Die Pflegemittel für Griffbrett und „Body“ sind obligatorisch notwendig und hervorragend.
