These are amazing!
17.08.2016
With the addition of a new guitar in the family, I wanted to feel safe knowing that my brand new guitar won't be falling when I pick it up or while I play! I did not want pull out the strap buttons and just screw in a new pair with the locking mechanism. Since that would cause some wear and tear, I'll be it not much, but I'm picky like that so what can you do!

I bought this going "Hey at this price point, even if they're useless I'll be fine" Well... blew me away. Ever since I'm using this my guitar strap won't come off unless I cut it with knife or something. Because it's round like that and fits so snug, it prevents the guitar strap(using a leather one btw) from bending at all from it's weight. So the guitar strap just sits there without it bending at all and there's no way it will ever come off unless you maybe get 2 guys to tug on it.

Brilliant little product from Fender, hat's down!

I recommend this as an alternative to anybody not wanting to screw in new strap lock. Brilliant product!

If you cannot get your hands on some bottles of Grolsch beer, these are the next best thing.

Reliable
ec29, 27.05.2019
Bought these to use on my RightOn straps for two guitars. They've been on almost a year and everything's always felt tight and secure. Easy to put on as well.
They do the job for playing at home, can't speak for stage use though.
Would recommend.

Simple and effective
MacFurax, 23.03.2018
Fit well my Squier Jazz bass Vintage modified but not my American Precision bass.

The reason is the difference in starp knob type.
On my Jazz bass, knob was conic shape like this one
Harley Benton Strap Knob Set Chrome

And on my Precision there are more cylindrical like this
Fender Strap Button chrome

pros
- simple and effective
- not to expensive
cons
- don't fit all strap knob

The easiest straplocks
Jonas8196, 08.03.2015
For several years i have been using rubber washings from bottles to secure my guitar straps and keeping them from coming undone from my guitars; so I was delighted when i found this product, which essentially is the same basic idea. No modification of the guitar or bass is needed - the rubber strap locks are placed on the guitars original strap button over the guitar strap and keeps it secured. Applying the rubber rings is very easy and fast and feels very safe. So far, I have never experienced the guitar strap coming loose from the strap buttons on the guitar. I have these strap locks on all my guitars, and since they are so cheap I always have a few extra spare pairs laying around.
I find these highly recommended!

Flenslock - Fenderstyle
ThomasP424, 13.05.2014
The Fender Strap-Blocks are exactly the size of the rubber-rings you usually get with a bottle of Flensburger beer.

Many guitar-players have been using this rubber-rings for years to lock their guitar-strap tightly to their guitar. This works very well and doesn't need any modifications, neither to the guitar, nor to the strap.

The Fender Strap Blocks are cheaper, then the most other strap-lock-system. Although you can get the same amount of rubber-rings (4) + 4 bottles of beer for the same price.

On the plus-side the Fender blocks have a Fender-logo, which improves the look a little bit. And did I mention, that black beerbottle-rubberrings are hard to find?

Does what it's supposed to!
Anaam, 13.08.2019
Simple rubber washers, they work well, blocking the strap even with some movement. If you don't move very aggressively, these will do fine :)

Garbage
Dforce10, 24.05.2018
Do not waste your money on these it will be costly lesson having to get your broken guitar repaired when these don't hold your strap on. For ¤10 more get yourself a set of Schaller straplocks. I have them on all my guitars now, I could leap through an obstacle course with the Schaller straplocks and my guitar isn't falling off.

Not much to it
kazhinsky, 12.03.2019
It's just a few rubber rings that you slap on that strap button and forget about it.
I'm not doing any wacky tricks with my guitar, but so far they have proved to be durable and stayed in place.

Pros
Does what it says on the tin.

Cons
Probably less secure than a metal straplock.

If you need something simple, cheap and effective, look no further.

SAVIOURS
Mr Fibble, 08.03.2016
These little gems saved my butt and the other band before us, Both having SG's the usual thing happens with the strap when you want to rock out a bit the one close to your body always stretches the strap you get a bit crazy it pops off and disaster.I knew it would happen this way but they didn't so was unprepared. But these can change all that i think these are a better alternative to the metal strap locks where you have to screw them into the guitar,i personally don't want to screw anything into my guitar having 10 thumbs when it comes to DIY. These are thick rubber the hole is slightly smaller than your strap holders so you gotta give it a bit of a push on so you know its not gonna fall off by the force you give it. Down side for me is they say fender on them.Come on Thomann do your own with skulls on them. Updated I bought some more of these for my bass. Holds perfectly in place.

Raaggnrs, 26.02.2019
I really didn't expect these to work, but they do. Granted, I don't throw myself around like Frank Iero when I play, but these really do the job nicely.

I am in two minds about these
Pete-plays-guitar, 25.04.2017
I have seen so many good reviews about these strap blocks but I have never really had any success with them.

Every set I have had have not lasted very long and the rubber had gone hard and cracked in a very short time (6 months) and this was not even taking them on and off all of the time. Maybe I had two randomly bad batches of rubber or people don't give it enough time before reviewing them.

Based on the quality material, you would be better off with a rubber washer from your hardware store (you might get 100 for the same price).

Maybe I am just unlucky, but I cannot say I like them or think they are any good. Use them once or twice, but really get yourself a decent strap lock.

They?re doing their job. A little tricky to put them in place the first time but that's only the case when they're new and unused. I like them (especially the black ones) \m/.

Why do strap locks even exist at this point?
13.09.2016
Honestly, what a buy.

Pros:
1. Installing the strap blocks is, well, child's play. You just put them on, and you're free to jam in 20 seconds.
2. Stability is just as good as with any sort of expensive strap locks.
3. Value for the price is indescribable.
4. No need to install any outside parts onto your guitar. Very cool.
5. Aesthetically pleasing,

I do not think that the product has any cons.
It's perfect value for the money, and I don't see myself buying strap locks anytime soon, considering how useless and overdone they seem compared to these strap blocks. A very well-designed product, one of my favourites out of all the guitar tools.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love the simplicity and functionality. I would recommend it to any guitarist.

Mandatory!
stevenvallee, 09.01.2019
these strap blocks might be "simple", "easy to use" and "cheap" but they're the best! I have them on all of my guitars.
For me they're more than a "must have". They're mandatory!
Save a guitar, buy the fender strap blocks.

Vlad Kon, 31.05.2019
Very happy with these. Easy to put on. They look like they're not going nowhere. I use them on my bass live. I like to move a lot while playing and they don't fail me. Have ordered another pack for my other guitars.

Those are so easy to use!
Moonlet, 14.12.2018
I've put them on every guitar I have. That means a lot.
You would not be able to change a strap that fast as if you would have Dunlop strap locks, but it's not an issue.

The red ones look cooler, but black would look better with some contrast color strap.

Simply brilliant
31.12.2015
An incredibly simple product by Fender that works a treat, dropped these onto my Telecaster and I can now play it with peace of mind. I'm normally trying to second guess how long before my strap comes off, that's a thing of the past now thanks to these beauties. Small and un-intrusive which is important to me as I didn't want them to impact the aesthetic of my Telecaster.

Arrived promptly during the festive period, which is an achievement in itself really. It's also good that you get a black option as mentioned before red doesn't always suit everyones colour scheme or aesthetic. Price wise these cost next to nothing, which when it's the different between your guitar being safely attached to your strap or not it's a no brainer really!

Thanks again Thomann!
