Dies ist meine erste Jazzmaster und da ich eher den moderneren Varianten zugeneigt bin als auch Lust auf kleine Modifizierungen habe, hab ich mir als günstige Basis die Player II-Variante geholt. Specs aus meiner Sicht top: Rhythm Circuit würde ich eh nicht nutzen, Dots statt Block Inlays mag ich lieber und der matte Hals mit angenehmen Profil taugt mir sehr.
Die Gitarre kam schon sehr solide eingestellt bei mir an und zeigt sich überraschend hochwertig verarbeitet, ich konnte keinen Makel entdecken. Alles sehr stimmig. Nur das Palisandergriffbrett war sehr trocken, aber das hat gleich mal eine Einölung bekommen, also kein Problem.
Ich habe wie gesagt keinen wirklichen Vergleich aber die Pickups klingen für meine Begriffe auch schon sehr gut, die werden erstmal bleiben. Die JM macht richtig Spaß zu spielen und ich würde sie definitiv weiterempfehlen. Für diese Preisklasse kriegt man hier echt was geboten!
