This monster of a cabinet is as good as a cabinet can be.I play strickly Metal and used it with an Engl Powerball 2,an EVH 5150 and a Laney Ironheart.

Construction : It is build like a tank. I've looked inside it and it is made by high quality multiplywood, reinforced in every corner, thick quality cables and there is even soundproofing on the back. The tolex is durable, the side handles and the removable wheels are heavy duty.

Sound : It has the typical V30 sound but it sounds huge without getting boomy.I've tried most of the high end cabinets and this is by far the tightest and most aggressive of all. There is a high end punch to the sound you wont find in other cabinets.I did however find a bit harsh some high frequencies on the EVH amp so i used an EQ to cut some of the 16khz.So have that in mind if you have a bright amp.

Further Info : The cabinet is front loaded meaning you remove the front grill and you have access to the speakers, really convenient if you want to change them. Also..and that is a big plus for me...the cabinet is a slanted one but on a full construction.Meaning the 2 upper speakers are slanted for better sound projection but the cab is full width.I prefer the look and it is also handy when you have a wide amplifier on top like the EVH.

Cons : It is the heaviest cabinet out there. If you want a cab to move around and take it to gigs forget it. It is also taller and wider so fitting it to a car is difficult..
It might be a bit harsh on the 16khz if your amp is bright.Just a tad but it is there.Have in mind that new V30 speakers have this and they need time to smoothen up.

Conclusion : It is punchy, tight,it sounds huge but wont get boomy even if you crank the bass. Its unique characteristic is that It has aggressive highs that gives that percussive attack.5 stars from me!

Definitely Heavy, but not just for Metal!

People, what can I say? From the sound, I am absolutely thrilled! Sure, well defined and with neat punch, there is nothing to complain about from my side. In some forums I have always read again that the box despite XXL format bass would be missing. I have the part now good three months and must say: If you still lack depths, then you should then please play bass. Nevertheless, the perception of the sound is naturally more subjective and who ne ne good box searches should go eh times probespielen. But I can only advise you to give this colossus a chance. Yes it is indeed a colossus. The approximately 60 kilos make the part of course extremely unwieldy, which in my opinion but by the sound again compensated. I do the part in any case hellish fun and it also looks good. This monster was fortunately also a decent tires donated, although a stopper is missing, but the weight moves thanks to mass inertia eh nix. The grid is extremely stable. So if you play shit in spite of a good box and throw people with things after you, just hide behind the box, which holds it off;) Moreover, the grill is good, if you want to record something, because you can the speakers very well see. For those who wish to move closer to the membrane with the micro, the grating is fixed and attached.
My conclusion: Yes, it is expensive. Yes, she is softer. No, I do not regret anything!
