Amazing piece of kit, I now have an addiction to the series 500 modules, this is my 3rd purchase as I lacked and eq in my lunchbox.
After a little research I narrowed it down to this eq from other reviews and also price.
For the price this eq is amazing. very transparent and clean. no matter how hard you drive it it still doesn't over do it, it has a nack of bringing things out of the mix and cleaning them up without destroying the sound or adding any unwanted frequencies.

im running almost everything through it now and when I compare what I had before to what I have now mixdown wise things have stepped un another level thanks to the xfliter 500.

This eq is smooth and clean, low distortion, perfect for mastering. Works really well on individual tracks and buses too. The passive massage is a great way of achieving smooth top end without sounding too harsh. Compared to the best eq plugins emulating hardware , this unit goes way beyond , bringing back life to some dull tracks. Loved how it deals with the low end. A combination of different sounds can be achieved using the narrow Q and high/low cut. The small pages manual that comes with the unit explains really well what are the curves of this eq. A great buy! already have the xpressor and i think i might get next the Karacter . Elysia makes great products.
