Lasts forever, but at a price

And that price is dullness. Compared to other strings, the low .135 is a bit flat, a bit dull. I bought a pair of them as backups for two different 5-string basses, and my experience is the same on both. This might be fine for plenty of styles of music, but unfortunately, it just turns to mud when playing metal or fast rock.

Lástima que no la fabriquen en escala extralarga (35-36") porque esta es la mejor quinta cuerda que fabrican los de Elixir. La he montado en mi bajo de 35" y queda bien, pero comienza a estrecharse un poco al límite de la cejilla. Aún así, suena de lujo, con un peso y una tensión bastante buenos.

Une corde que j'ajoute à un jeu ELixir 45-105. Elle est beaucoup plus en phase et complète mieux le jeu de 4 cordes que la 130.
Petit défaut quand-même, pour une basse en 35", le filage ne va pas jusqu'au sillet. J'en ai fait tailler un nouveau.

Wollte mir für eine CGCF Stimmung dicke Saiten besorgen damit beim Bass etwas mehr Spannung auf die Saite kommt.
Bin mehr als zufrieden mir diesen Saiten die ich mittlerweile auf allen meinen Gitarren und Bässen verwende.
Diese Saiten haben aus meinen Gitarren und Bässen andere Instrumente gemacht.
Haltbarkeit Top.
Oxydieren der Saiten ist Geschichte.
Die längere Haltbarkeit und der um Welten bessere Klang rechnen sich bei den höheren Anschaffungskosten.
