My new brand

Motherspot 25.09.2020

After years of Elixirs this became my favorite cheaper new string brand. Always used 0.10 but for now changed the stock strings on the 09's with the thicker lower strings on my HB CST-24T. It feels and sounds fantastic on that guitar. Although next time i will use the standard 0.9 set, without the thicker strings. They last very long too...the last set it put on my Dues Starplayer Special in dec.2019....and they still need no refresh....

Perfect hybrid-string-set

I am proud owner of a Duesenberg Starplayer TV and use this string-set regularly. I have always been fan of hybrid-string-sets. Reasons: easier bendings with thinner treble-strings, but punchy and powerfull basses with thicker bass-strings. For me this hybrid-set is a perfect mixture of price/quality-ratio, comfortable feeling, durability and sweet sound. The sound is always clear, but not too "sharp".

Genau was ich gesucht habe

Ich wollte für meine Squier VM '72 Tele Thinline einen Saitensatz, der meine irrationale Affinität, die Gitarre andauernd umzustimmen, aushält, ohne Spielkomfort einzubüßen. Sprich, einen 9-er Satz, dessen tiefe Saiten auch in Drop C nicht schnarren und hin und her wobbeln. Also schnell durch die Thomann-App gescrollt und diesen Saitensatz gefunden. 50er E-Saite. Wow, das ist ganz schön viel. Aber meine anfänglichen Zweifel, dass die dicken tiefen Saiten unangenehm zu spielen sein würden, war absolut unbegründet. Das Spielgefühl ist fast angenehmer als bei den typischen .009-.042, die ich vorher hatte und sind auch bei Standard Tuning nicht zu "stramm". Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Montées sur une LP habituellement montée en 10-52. Je souhaitais trouvé un tirant de corde "hybride" permettant de conserver une bonne tenue d'accord sur les cordes graves et de la souplesse sur les cordes aiguës.
Ce tirant fait parfaitement l'affaire. En terme de son, on est sur du standard comparable à du Ernie Ball ou du D'Addario. La qualité est très bonne, pas de remarque particulière. Très satisfait de mon achat.
