All die Jahre habe ich versucht, den Klang verschiedener Cajons mit dem EQ zu optimieren, um einen "Oompf"-ähnlichen Bass-Sound zu erhalten. Ich habe ein Tuch hinter die Diskantsaiten in Cajons gelegt, verschiedene Einstellungen an verschiedenen Mikrofonen ausprobiert, aber letztendlich die aufgenommenen Sounds durch gekaufte Kick Drums ersetzt. Mit diesem DG De Gregorio Kongo Bass Cajon, bei dem die Diskantsaiten komplett fehlen, hat meine Suche nach dem perfekten Bass Cajon Sound für mein Kick Drum Pedal endlich ein Ende. Der Sound ist satt, tief und kommt einem elektronischen Bass schon ziemlich nahe. Diese Cajon ist perfekt für die Verwendung mit einem Pedal. Vielleicht nicht so, wenn man einen traditionellen Cajon-Sound mit Höhen sucht.
