I've been playing on the Alexander Reeds DC Alto Saxophone 1.5 for a while now and honestly I'm impressed.
The reed feels very easy to play, especially for smooth jazz and softer styles. It responds quickly, has a warm tone, and makes high notes much more comfortable.
What I like most is the balance between softness and control — it’s light, but not completely unstable like some other 1.5 reeds can be. Great for long sessions and expressive playing.
