Ridiculously Good

This is my 3rd Caz cymbal (I have the 22" ride and 19" crash/ride too), so at this point I shouldn't be surprised by the great sound, yet I am once again amazed. These are among the best hats I've ever played. The sound reminds me of K Zildjians and other dark sounding cymbal ranges, yet there's a touch of brightness in the tone as well.

My pair weighs 980/1120 grams so roughly the same as the Zildjian K Light Hats (that aren't actually as light as one might think). However, the Caz has the responsiveness and smoothness of a much lighter pair. It almost feels like these have the best qualities of both thin and medium weight hi-hat cymbals - responsive and light to play, yet with a full-bodied sound. Good foot chick as well! I'll be using these mainly for jazz, but they will most likely work well in various backbeat situations too.

These are great hats, and not not just in this price range. They are every bit as good as the Zildjians, Meinls, Paistes and Istanbuls I've owned and played.

Erinomaiset haikat kaikkeen paitsi karuimpaan heviin

Todella laadukkaat haikat monenlaiseen soittoon. Kuten arvata saattaa, näiden vahvuus on kevyemmässä soitossa, ja reagoivat herkästi kaikista kevyimpäänkin otteeseen. Henkilökohtaisesti en ymmärrä miksi maksaa yli tuplasti isompien merkkien huippumalleista, kun näillä saa hyvin pitkälti yhtä kaunista soundia.

Nähneet käyttöä pop-, rock-, ja metallikäytössä, ja hienosti ovat pitäneet pintansa näistä kaikissa, tosin jälkimmäisessä peltien ohuus tuntuu ja kuuluu. Mikäli soittosi on siis yksinomaan metallia tai punkia, kannattaa hankkia jotain paksumpaa ja brutaalimpaa. Muuten nämä ovat kerrassaan erinomaiset all-rounderit.

This is a very nice hi-hat. It's responsive and has a good dynamic range. The sound is pleasant and at least in my case quite well represented by the samples. I seem to hear a little bit of some high-frequency "fizz" that stands out in a recording, but it doesn't bother me too much. The foot chick sound isn't very strong, but that's to be expected with lighter cymbals. I would guess this hi-hat isn't the best for the hardest hitters, but for everybody else, it's a good all-rounder and for this price, it's awesome.
