Beautiful and and amazing sounding hats.

I owned them for 7 months now. These hats are really thick - the bottom cymbal is extremely fat. Great for heavier music. I like these A LOT more than my previous Sabian AAX 13" Stage Hats. Has good (not great) chicc. Sounds great fully closed and fully open, half open - only acceptable/good (probably the weakest point of these hats). Brilliant finish looks amazing on them - hard to keep clean though.
There are a couple hammering marks that look and feel weird (too black and too hard/deep), other than that they look great - looks like they will last a lifetime.
They sound heavy and bright, and they are properly loud.
Would easily recommend these for anyone playing heavier music - and would consider for those who play pop/hip hop/country, etc. Couldnt imagine seeing these hats in jazz though.

Solide - aber nicht mein Fall

Meine letzte Hihat, eine Anatolian Ambient 14", riss mir leider zuletzt. Weil ich in die etwas härtere Richtung gehe, dachte ich an eine solide Hihat, um die Anatolian abzulösen. Dass es so ein großer Unterschied sein könnte, was Filigranität und Ansprache angeht, war mir nicht bewusst. Diese Hihat ist massiv und so klingt sie auch. Sie will geprügelt werden und setzt sich durch die mächtigsten Gitarrenwände durch. Leider nicht mein Fall, auch aus tontechnischer Sicht meiner Meinung nach nicht ideal. Sehr spitz und scheppernd. Sie wird zurück gehen. Ich werde mir die Dark Matters besorgen und hoffentlich mit dem erdigen und trockenen Sound etwas glücklicher sein.

Ein Stern Abzug bei der Verarbeitung weil im Topbecken ein Lunker zu sein scheint. Sicher bin ich mir nicht, aber ich vermute eine Sollbruchstelle.

Der Klang ist sehr speziell, ausprobieren sollte man sie!

Was die Optik angeht, so ist sie ebenfalls hammer!!!
