Nice for its price.

This is a nice little amp that will do the job for light play or home practice. Don't expect it to be heard over any drums. That's not what this amp was made for.
It is somewhat lighter than I expected, given its size.
You'll hardly annoy any neighbours with it. It is really just a nice practice equipment with a nice sound to go along.
I like that Warwick put the power cable as far as they could from the sound circuits. I haven't heard any buzzing or crackling. It hasn't got much volume, but it handles well what it can give.
If you're looking for a practice amp, go for it.

Choose the BC40 over the BC20

After reading reviews here and elsewhere I initially chose the BC20. It sounded very good, but was missing a little something. You really do need a 10" speaker like in the BC40 to produce a full bass sound.

The clean tone at any volume is ideal for practicing as every subtle flaw is clearly audible. It makes you better faster as you hear inconsistencies in playing technique. You hear the instrument, and unlike the Fender Rumbles 15 and 75 --which also have a (nice) specific sound and have their place-- all frequencies come through clearly and at equal volumes with Warwick. The BC20 also did this, but was missing some bottom end, especially compared to a Rumble 75 I was also using at the time. So after a few weeks I sent it back, and with great service from Thomann upgraded to the BC40. The improvement was instantaneously noticeable and months later I am still very pleased and highly recommend the Warwick BC40.

Son très propre, puissance limitée

Un bon ampli, qui a l'air costaud et bien assemblé. La puissance est un peu limitée par contre, en comparaison avec d'autres 40w. Usage en solo pour répéter sans embêter personne, même avec le bouton de volume à fond. Dur à envisager pour un gig par contre, même avec des perçus légères genre cajon.
Le son avec les potards à plat est très propre, pas trop typé et l'entrée passive offre un petit boost appréciable. Avoir placé l'interrupteur au plus éloigné enlève tout souffle ou parasite.
Au rayon des bémols une petite sortie xlr pour la table et un send/return auraient été très appréciés.
