This ocarina sounds very good however, it does require a fair bit of knowledge to use properly. You can absolutely pick it up as your first ocarina and that is actually what I did but it is not very forgiving of mistakes. You do need to control your breath well, and do head tilts on higher notes but once you have everything down this sounds excellent. If it sounds like a 3yo trying to whistle the first time you pick it up, don't get discouraged, look at some tutorials on sharps and flats.

It's a very good looking ocarina, I'd say a bit better in person than in the promo images. It feels very sturdy but don't let it fool you into a false sense of security it is still very much ceramic and it's about as durable as a coffee mug except it doesn't chip easily. I recommend using the included necklace, you're unlikely to drop it since ceramic is actually really really easy to grip onto but it makes you feel more at ease.
