Thomann Studio Table XL Wood

Tuli hommattua tämä tosiaan ensimmäiseksi studio-pöydäksi ilman aikaisempia kokemuksia vastaavista pöydistä. Tässä alla omat amatöörin näkemykset pöydästä.

Kasatessa huomasin, että osat istuvat hyvin paikoilleen ilman osien väännättämistä mihinkään suuuntaan. Mukana tullut kuusiokoloavain on kuitenkin vain kasaamista hidastava työkalu ja siitä luovuin melko nopeasti. Suosittelen siis ainakin omia avaimia/vääntimiä helpottamaan kasausta. Reiät osuivat ainakin omassa tapauksessa todella hyvin kohdilleen. Työnjälki on yleisesti ottaen siistiä.

Pöytä on ominaisuuksiltaan hyvä ja tasot ovat mielestäni sopivalla korkeudella. Levyt/tasot on pinnoitettu puukuvioisella kalvolla. Iso plussa siitä, että kaapelit saa piilotettua pöydän takana olevan levyn taakse ja jakorasiat istuvat hyvin tämän levyn pohjassa olevaan kouruun. Itse kiinnitin johtoja nippusiteillä tuohon reijitettyyn levyyn. Keskitason takaosassa on lisäksi 3 kaapeleille tarkoitettua läpivientiä joista johtoja saa ujutettua. Itse käytän midikiipparia (Novation 61sl mk3) alimmalla tasolla ja näppis ja hiiri on sitten tällä keskitasolla. Alinta tasoa voi korkeus säätää itselle sopivaksi. Pöytää voi lisäksi korkeus säätää mukana tulleiden kierretassujen avulla. Kuuloketelineet pöydän etunurkissa ovat hyvä lisä.

Keskitaso voisi mielestäni olla jämäkämpää levyä, sillä se antaa hieman periksi keskeltä. Veikkaisin, että kovemmat kiipparin yms. hakkaajat huomaavat tämän helposti soittaessa. Monitoreille tarkoitetut levyt ovat isot eli niihin mahtuu kyllä melkoisen iso monitori seisomaan (itsellä Genen 1030a:t). Näyttönä minulla on 27-tuumainen näyttö ja tilaa jää monitoreihin nähden reilusti.

Pöytä on nyt näin viikon käytön jälkeen itselleni todella miellyttävä ja tässä viitsii istua helposti kauemminkin. Pieniä säätöjä tulen vielä tekemaan alimman tason korkeuden kanssa. Yleisarvosanaksi annan 4 tähteä. 1 tähti lähtee pois tuon keskitason jouston vuoksi mikä on ehkäpä hieman liioiteltua, mutta aiheellinen mainita. Suosittelen tätä tuotetta kuitenkin lämpimästi.

Bought this to replace my old desk, this one has better ergonomics, feels way more solid, and offers better rack mounting and cable management solutions.
It gets my recommendation, however to be noted there are some things that come with the affordable price.

On my unit, I wasn't too impressed with the welding of the frame.
Noticeable gaps and alignment issues.
I had to use some force to align bolts to their respective mounting inserts on the legs.
The rack mounts are not fully parallel and straight, however, this desk uses smaller bolts than I am used to, so rack ears allow enough wiggle room to not have any major issues with gear fitment.

Then there is a development suggestion, if Thomann monitors these reviews, a second part number 11 should be added to the desk at the very front, leaning on the worktop causes it to sag.

Finally the positives, legs use M8 mounting for adjustable feet, I am replacing mine with castors to allow easy movement for cable changes behind the desk and to allow for easier access when cleaning floors.

The woodgrain vinyl looks nice, a bit low-res/fuzzy, but nice overall.
Upper shelf fits upto 8" monitors without issues with a 32" display in between. You could go wider with the spinning monitor mounts that come with the desk, personally I don't prefer them so didn't mount them.

Comes with enough rackbolts for majority of use cases.
Instructions were easy to follow.
Packaging was solid enough to survive UPS, and the snow and sidewalk grit they apparently had to deal with at some stage of transport.

This desk is amazing value at this price point. Very well thought out and great quality plus sturdy too.
All my "most used" 19" rack gear is right in front of me within good reach and the desk have so much space. My Ultrawide 34inch LG screen fits perfectly between the two rotatable monitor base plates.
The wooden color looks great and of high quality and they did not overlook the reversed side.
All parts is well marked and easy to setup by following the instruction manual. I did it all by myself and could easily take it apart and move it to a different room.
The adjustable height of the keyboard or synth pull- out tray will fit most keyboards and synths up to 76-keys.

If you have 88 keys, it will fit easily on the main worktop and with your mouse and computer keyboard on the second pull-out tray.

This desk will last a lifetime if you look after if it.
Build quality a 10 out of 10.
Value at this price point when compared to all others , 10 out of 10.
Looks, 10 out of 10.
Workflow, 10 out of 10.
I give this Thomann desk a 5 star rating because it covers all the needed basics that one could need in a desk with great build quality and it looks great!
