The proper cable

I bought a Strymon Cloudburst with intention of using the Midi patch switching capability. I tried to make up my own Din to TRS lead but couldn't seem to find the right wiring protocols to make it work. After several attempts I gave up and bought the proper Strymon cable which has some sort of filter in it. Whether this was part of the problem I don't know but on connecting the cable worked straight away. The quality is ok barring the fact it uses moulded plastic plugs which makes it look a bit 'cheap'. So I would say it is quite expensive for what it is. But anyway it works which is the main thing. Also I read on the web that this cable is being discontinued. Very good quick service from Thomas as usual.
