Flawless construction, not a single dang and the binding is just beautiful! The fretwork is excellent for a guitar of this price range; you won’t get cut by sharp frets, and the frets are nicely polished. This guitar deserves to pass quality inspection…. It’s an Esquire, and not a Telecaster, keep that in mind; you only have a single pickup (bridge) with a 3-way toggle switch that acts like a bleed circuit, together with a volume and tone knob. It cuts the treble and lowers the volume quite a lot when in the neck position. Much like a mud-switch on a 6120 Gretsch!
Overall I’m very happy with the guitar, only needed a minor truss rod adjustment (needed tightening) because of shipping…. It was the 25th anniversary present for my best friend, and he couldn’t be happier! I also order the ABS case from Thomann for it, and the fit is snug. There’s even place for a book and accessories. I am drifting off…. The guitar has that twang and the intonation is also spot on. It came nicely packaged together with the case, both in separate boxes, together in one big box, and the delivery only took 3 days. I have not been disappointed by Thomann in all these years (20+).
