Great sounding mic

I received my sE Dynacaster a couple of weeks ago. I’d previously been using the SM57 with the A81WS windscreen and an inline pre to boost the signal. It is… it was great setup, but I’m enjoying the clarity the Dynacaster offers compared to the 57. I also like that I’ve been able to declutter my desktop a bit by having the mic booster built in.

My use case is that I am a PC gamer and I work remote (I’m in Zoom meetings most of the day), and I want my audio to be crisp for the people on the other end. While this mic may be overkill for my needs, I feel justified.

Beast of a microphone

The features and sound quality are amazing, to me personally I prefer it over my re320. And the eq on the back comes in handy for my recording situations. The built-in pop filter is really good, better than most microphones, I hardly have to use the foam windscreen that comes with it. 10/10

Impressive build and sound quality!

The mic is beefy. It feels great in the hands and has a lot of weight to it. The construction is strong and very clean and it feels like a premium product.

The built in dynamite is a game changer for somebody who doesn't have the greatest preamps - I have a 1st gen audience ID14 and from testing, I won't use the mic without the dynamite engaged. It provides a huge gain boost and with my preamps, a much cleaner recording.

Sound quality is really good, no complaints.

Would recommend as an alternative to SM7b

I needed a dynamic microphone for video recording and streaming in my home studio. I looked through a lot of reviews and decided that I would take the Dynacaster. Placed an order and received my microphone in less than 2 weeks. The excellent quality of both the product itself and the service from Thomann, for which I want to thank you all.
