Great Channel Strip

I have this channel strip for 2 months and i'm very satisfied with my purchase.
Everything i record trough it sounds awesome: vocals, bass guitar, electric guitar, snare
EQ - It's almost impossible to make it sound bad
Compressor is thick and adds weight to the sound.
And the Silk is.... smooth, i prefer red on vocals and guitar, and blue on bass.
The only downside is the price but it think it deserves it.

The Shelford Channel is everything a serious front end should be — weighty, detailed, and effortlessly musical. The preamp adds depth without mud, the Silk modes give real tonal control, and the diode-bridge compressor glues vocals beautifully. Build quality is flawless, and the EQ is pure Neve — broad, smooth, and musical. Pricey, but it’s the kind of hardware you’ll never want to sell.

A ce prix là, heureusement qu'il est possible de lui attribuer 5 étoiles partout ! Heureux et confiant aussi de posséder le top du top !
J'ai pris cette tranche Neve Shelford pour prendre l'avantage en tournée pour la voix de mon chanteur que j'avais trouvée terne jusqu'à là sur micro HF avec cellule SM58 sur console CL5.
Vu les contraintes de la tournée le mieux que je puisse faire c'est d'insérrer ma tranche Neve via les omnis de la console CL5 en FOH - et ça fait déjà le job ! C'est surtout pour la qualité du compresseur.
Mais il arrive parfois qu'il y a une ligne d'entrée analogique disponible du plateau à la régie, ce qui me permet d'utiliser aussi l'étage d'entrée micro de la tranche, et là, il y a une couche de bonté supplémentaire.
J'ai hâte maintenant de pouvoir la déployer en situation studio.
Coté Thomann, c'est comme toujours l'efficacité, la confiance et la bonne ambiance !
