My use case for this speaker is home listening to music rock, heavy metal (with singers, guitars, synth, bass) in 8x4x4 m room at moderate levels and rock singing-karaoke practice at louder levels. RCF art 915 is a good, coherent, neutral speaker with near-explosive dynamics and clean, pure sound that is satisfying per se. Clearly it has been built as a neutral monitor with some darkness in the mids already present as the tweeter module is smaller than in RCF 935 and 945. Voicing probably good for DJ use out of the box. I have compared the 915 to RCF 945 which was much clearer, way more explosive, purity of sound at the same level as 915, but a very detailed, clinical speaker where every micro contrast in sound can be easily heard even far away with the projecting power 945 has. 915 however, to me and my use case of music listening starts out more musical and engaging vs. 945, 915 is also more forgiving. I played the 915 in linear mode (no boost or dj mode engaged) and did eq and audio effects in Ableton. Nice speaker, excellent sound per se in mids and highs, but no real bass present. I do understand that RCF´s house signature bass from these tops in the 900 series is "dry" and "fast" and they are are rated at 45 hz fine, but when you are standing in a room with these speakers playing, including 945, there is no physical sub bass to be felt in my room no matter the eq or audio effects I throw in or no matter the placement of the speakers. So, for my use case I would have needed to use one or two of RCFs 15 inch subs (15 inch is more agile for music listening, DJs probably go with 18 inch subs). I ended up with another speaker for my use case, but RCF 915 is an excellent top-to-highs speaker with a good, but not substantial bass as a top only.
