An upgrade that missed the mark a bit

I had the previous version and was extremely happy with it. The new one looks slick and feels great to play (had it for about a year now). I'm loving the beatjump buttons which to me are the only meaningful upgrade.

There's two browser encoders now, one for each deck and you push them to load a track. Sometimes the encoder turns as you're pushing it and you load the wrong song. Meh, liked the previous one know + two buttons style better.

The USB hub requires external power which totally defeats the purpose. Most people would just be plugging their Z1 mixer into this, but the hub doesn't work without the power supply so you're still better off running two USB cables to your laptop or a hub near it.

A good mobile controller that you want to use more often!

I am the owner of a Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3. The device is excellent, functional but not small! I was thinking about buying a mobile device for traveling. I needed all my devices to fit into a small backpack and not weigh much. Traktor Kontrol X1 MK 3 was perfect for this. I first bought one controller, tested it and was pleasantly surprised. Now I ordered a second one for playing in 4 channels! This device provokes me to play all the time :) The only disappointment is the lack of a built-in audio interface. But this problem can be solved.

Nice controller

I’ve used Traktor controllers before, but this one is a significant departure from the previous ones. The aesthetics have undergone a modernization, and the encoders are no longer touch-sensitive, which I consider a positive change because it simplifies replacing parts.

I appreciate the new mini displays and the overall feel of the controller. The USB hub is a welcome addition, as it allows me to connect multiple controllers using just one USB port on my PC. While it would have been ideal if the controller didn’t require power, relying solely on a USB-C cable, I’m overall satisfied with the features and performance of this new Traktor controller.

Very useful equipment

It gives greater control and flexibity in using effects as well as in looping. Definitely a good addition. There are multiple possibilities for usage, depends on your use case.
