WEAK SOUND AND VOICING

The overall sound of this C Bass by Mollenhauer is weak and lacks from harmonics. Keys are not high quality and that is out of the question for a pro (and not exactly cheap) instrument. What strikes my most is the inner bore, it may work for a regular f bass but it is so small it is not appropriate for a large instrument. The result is a thin and poor sound instead of a deep and rich quality one would expect from a C bass. Last but not least is the nightmare you will have to assemble and disassemble its 5 sections, they adjust so tightly you'll need a pair of extra hands and it will not be easy even then.
