Cheap update for old drum set

I bought this set for old Pearl drum set that had REALLY old and beat up heads. Low price of this set was the main reason I chose Millenium Drumheadpack 1. I thought that ANY new heads would be an improvement to the sound of the drumset. I ended up buying two sets, so I replaced also the reso heads (excluding the snare and bass drum reso heads, which I replaced with more expensive heads).

Pros:
- Very affordable
- Good looking set. After polishing the cans and installing the Millenium heads my set looks like new :-)
- After some tuning (and even more tuning) I found a setting that sounds good to my ear.

Cons:
- Tuning took a long time. Actually I didn't find a setting that pleased my ear, until I used some "roadee tape" to fine tune the heads. There was some high frequencies that I wanted to get rid of and the tape trick helped.

Conclusion:
After fine tuning with tape, I found the sound/tone quite satisfactory. Great bang for the buck.
Next time though I might invest a little more money and try out some medium price heads. But if You are on a low budget, go for the Millenium!

Erittäin huokea hinta sai minut kokeilemaan tätä kalvosettiä, ja se tuntuu olevan vähintäänkin hintansa väärti. Kalvot sopivat hyvin paikalleen ja oli suht helppo saada vireeseen, enkä voi sanoa huomaavani suurta eroa soundissa Remo Ambassadoreihin, tosin en kyllä mikään kultakorva olekaan. Ja jos jotakuta tuo Millenium-teksti haittaa, niin sen voi poistaa kirkkaista kalvoista CRC Stripperillä tai vastaavalla vahingoittamatta itse kalvoa...:)

Great heads for rehearsing. they dont sound as good as heads triple the price, but why would you waste money on such heads for rehearsing purposes! awesome, whole set for this money, simply cant go wrong.
