Simple is beautiful

I've recently got into the world of analog synths and I wanted to get some hardware effects instead of software effects. I bought this mainly for my Behringer Poly D synth. Some would think it's unnecessary because the synth doesn't give very much differ in terms of sound velocity but I think this is a perfect match especially with synth bass sounds. I use it more like a transient shaper. It can make very punchy or snappy bass sounds with it or bring the tail of a sound more present. I also like the simplicity of it. It has only three knobs and a switch. Last I want to mention to remember to use high-quality cables with this. I used one cheap cable and the hiss noise was very loud. I then switched to a better quality cable and the hiss was gone.

A compressor for everyone!

I was thinking about getting a compressor, since I really love those Talking Heads riffs. After a lot of frustration and not being able to hear much difference between demos on the internet, I decided to go with a simple compressor, that I heard is for the people, who aren't really into compressors (something like that). And I gotta say, when I plugged it into my signal chain, I immediately noticed a potential upgrade of my sound.

Also, that BRIGHT toggle alone is worth having in a pedal. Amazing feature! My first and probably not last JHS pedal.

Spitzen Kompressor für Blues und Rock

Kompresser ohne Schnickschnack, der genau das tut, was er soll!
Ich benutze ihn für Blues und Rock Sounds. Der kleine Metallschalter sorgt für mehr Bass. Das clean-Signal wird super durchgeschleift ohne wahrnehmbare Veränderung des Klangbildes.
Ich besitze eine Harley Benton SC-Custom Plus mit nachträglich eingebauten Fishman Fluence Classic HB Set GD Humbuckern und eine Harley Benton TE-90FLT Red Blast. Beide Gitarren bekommen durch den Kompressor einen sehr nach New Orleans klingenden Blues-Sound. Die SC-Custom klingt mit Rockigen Einstellungen Richtung Roger Waters und die TE-90FLT mehr Richtung Mark Knopfler.

Excellente compression sur ma stratocaster.
Le son est impeccable. L'utilisation est très intuitive puisqu'il n'y a que 3 potards. Avec tout à midi ça sonne déjà super et les possibilités de réglages sont multiples.
Par contre j'ai été beaucoup moins convaincu avec une basse.
Le petit bouton "Bright" apporte une touche sympa aussi.
