Lovely instrument!

I have been and electric guitar bass player for one 40 years and have always wanted an upright. Don't have room for a full sized acoustic double bass and so this looked like a reasonable compromise.
I love this instrument, it looks great, feels nice, sounds really good and played well straight out of the box and was even in tune!
There's no way this is going back, it's definitely a 'keeper' 👍

Originally ordered a Harley Benton, but due to ongoing delivery problems, bought this one instead and although more expensive, it's definitely a quality instrument and so worth the extra cost if you can afford it.

Good idea but poor QC

This hybrid fretless is a really good idea. Bought this one for some gigs requiering a more double bass feel. Sorry to say that the neck had some serious issues. Twisted and with a heavy back-bow. The truss rod was totally stucked. How this instrument left the factory without QC is beyond belief. It will never play.
Happy to say that Thomann will take it back.

Nice but more like a big fretless

Cool instrument, lots of fun to play and well made. Unfortunately if you are looking for that upright bass sound , this isn’t it. It’s more like an electric bass and his that growl . Now ,maybe with different strings you could correct some of that but I think I’ll just buy an acoustic upright.
