Todella hyvä pedaalilauta ja ok salkku

Vaihdoin huomattavasti raskaamman pedaalilautani tähän. Lauta on oikein kätevän kokoinen ja kevyt, ja ainakin oma Palmerin virtalähteeni mahtui kätevästi laudan alle piiloon. Lauta vaikuttaa sopivan jykevältä, ja sen korkeutta on helppo säätää. Laukku on myöskin ihan pätevä, mutta pienenä miinuksena laukun lukot tuntuvat melko halvoilta ja huteroilta. Jossain vaiheessa voi joutua lukot vaihtamaan. Muuten laukkukin on kuitenkin kestävän oloinen ja hyvin pehmustettu.

Good board, a horrible excuse for a hardcase

The pedalboard itself seemed to be good quality, easy to use and lightweight. However, the hardcase was terrible. Looking at the price, I wasn't expecting it to be indestructible world-class flight case quality, but honestly a soft case would be far better option for this board.

Immediately after unboxing it I noticed the outer layer of the hardcase was very thin and flimsy, and bent easily. The material seemed to be some kind of thin plastic with a metal-coloured coating. The hinges started to break after only a couple of weeks of use.

I took the pedalboard with the case to a three-week long tour, and tried to be as gentle as possible with the case while loading and unloading. The front face of the case cracked during a car ride after a couple of days, the hinges completely broke off after a week, and after two weeks almost all the parts were cracked or broken. The case was completely destroyed and only held together by duct tape.

Now I have to find a new case for the board, and will most likely opt for the soft case. Because of the flimsy and bendy material used in the hardcase, I'm sure a soft case will provide the board and pedals at least the same amount of protection.

If you're looking to buy an affordable and durable pedalboard, the SpaceShip is a great product. However, I recommend getting the soft case, as the hardcase will be a waste of money.

Great size - but case HEAVY & toughness is a concern

60XL board is a great size for your spaceship! My 60XL chain has boss eq --> spark booster --> HX stomp (with Boss FS7 footswitch) and fx loop to Boss sy-1 and a Moog expression pedal - the main output from HX --> large Ditto 4x looper which is midi synced to a Beatbuddy drum machine (+ off board foot trigger) run through an optional reverb pedal (onboard) - they meet in the middle at a Behringer Xenyx 802 and everyone except the 802 is powered from a palmer powerbar strapped to the underside of the rack with the elastics supplied with the unit. It is full, but everything is in reach and well secured to the fitted velcro. I LOVE the rack for enabling me to get all this on and feeling so solid. Now, the case - the dimensions are great and all of the stuff on the board fits in with the lid closing down no problem without pressing on anything. That said, the case is heavy enough on its own and seriously heavy when loaded. The handle seems ok, but I would have concerns over time and carry mine very cautiously! Also the case hinges are functional, but quite thin metal and I could see them suffering if getting a lot of mileage/stage handling. In the end, if you are looking for a solid, spacious pedal board- look no further. If you want to protect your board at home, in studio or for limited, local travel - look no further. However if you are going to be taking this unit and your precious gear further...then you might want to look further!
