Fender Professional Pedal Board S

I was surprised when Fender released these brushed aluminium pedalboards and was waiting for the right moment to buy one. I had few pedals laying around and I decided to put them on a board. I ordered this Fender S-size pedalboard that comes with a soft carrying bag or "a soft case". The pedalboard itself is very rugged and solid. All the slots and cuts work well. The board has two round slots on backpanel that work well with Neutrik D-Series jacks.

Offers plenty of room for pedals (even this small version can handle 8-10 regular size pedals) and you can fit most of the power sources beneath. I have Cioks DC7 under the board.

I much rather have this type of pedalboard that has more mounting surface and then smartly located slots for audio and power cables than having a just few horizontal bars and huge openings in between. I can easily attach mini pedals, small, regular or big size pedals on it. And no matter what shape the pedals are.

The only thing I'd done different with this Fender pedalboard is the protective "legs". I think they have used automotive chassis or body seam rubber or similar stuff as "rubber legs" and those aren't the best possible choice. They work but can easily drop off and then you have plain aluminium against your floor. I put a tiny drop of super glue there to hold them in place. And once they are worn out I'm going to figure out another solution for the rubber legs.

Anyways... a great and solid pedalboard. I'm glad not all the boards are black in color. This brushed aluminium looks good.

I choose this over offerings of pedaltrain because of the size was a perfect fit for my sitation. I don't gig too much so case wasn't a big deal for me. It comes with almost everything you need to set it up, but I recommend getting 3M dual lock for the pedals themselves. In a night with a good blade, you can cover the entire top of the board with the included soft velcro. The universal adapter for the power supply was too big for the power units I'm using (strymon ojai) so I needed to make some adapter from a 3d printer. Cable ties are not really practical I would say. I also recommend getting a solderless cable kit (like from the boss) to go with it too, if you are getting a nice setup. Overall it's not the perfect or most innovative board out there, but it have good points all across the wall. I would recommend it.
