Unbeatable for the price

Now, I'm gonna lead with the fact that I am not a bassist, I'm a guitarist, so take that into account. That being said:

I needed a bass for recording, as my old LTD B-50 from 2009 is starting to show its age. I'm not a snob when it comes to instruments, especially since bass is not my main instrument, so I was looking at the Harley Benton JB-75 until this one dropped and immediately caught my attention. Same price, but with a way cooler color (us lefties get gloss black 99% of the time lol), with a graphite nut and most impressively, a roasted maple neck. What?! I had to jump on that, and having had good experiences with HB instrumens before, i was feeling somehwat confident.

And holy frick was that confident founded, because this bass is incredible! It arrived perfectly set up, the intonation was spot on and the string action was to my liking as well. The neck on this thing feels SO good, and I'm so mad at Thomann that they don't have the roasted maple neck Fusion-T available in left handed with a hardtail bridge, because I am now officially in love with how a roasted maple neck feels to play. And its supposed to be more stable, which is good since I live in Finland where the climate fluctuates quite a bit.

The pickups, for my style, which is metal, sound epic with Neural DSP plugins, I can't tell much more about it since I just crank all the knobs to max and leave it there lmao.

If there's something I have to criticize, its that the plastic on the pickguard was a pain in the a** to remove, I had to loosen the bolts on the knobs to get all of it out. But other than that, nothing to complain about. Stays in tune perfectly fine, sounds awesome and it ships with D'Addario strings so no need to change immediately either.

All in all, wholly recommended! And Thomann, while I'm here, I'm BEGGING you, please release a hardtail Fusion-T with a roasted maple neck and a sparkle color in left handed!
