I use this in a very tight home studio space, and most of the time I'm singing behind an electric piano. As a temporary solution, I used to have the mic attached to a boom arm which was on a small tripod. Not only are tripod legs a massive pain in crammed spaces because they get entangled with keyboard stand legs and such, they take up a lot of space and with a boom arm stretched out to the extreme, it's a very unstable construction that you have tiptoe around. This was a perfect solution: The footprint on the floor is much smaller, and the iron plate is so heavy that you definitely can't knock it over accidentally. The white color makes a crammed room look a little less dark and restless; Now only if the boom arm could've been white too! I don't think I've seen white ones sold separately.
Overall it has a very high quality feel, I like the matte white surface a lot. The product comes in a very curious triangular cardboard box because that's the smallest shape you can fit the disc and stem into. I'm gonna save it for protection in future transportation needs.
