Fender Player left handed P-bass
Volume pot was faulty and both pots felt loose when turned. Tone pot was basically an on/off switch, probably just a righty pot wired backwards. Both potentiometers were changed to logarithmic 250K real lefty pots (reverse audio taper) and the tone capacitor was upgraded (47nf100V) because it was not worth the effort to use the tiny cheap looking stock cap. After the mods this lefty bass played and sounded like a proper precision bass should, but required some work to get there. This bass had a maple fretboard with sharp fret ends and protruding tongs. The pups and tuners did their job, but the stock bridge was changed to a Fender high mass bridge which also improved the instruments balance.
