I finally decided to pull a trigger on a delay unit that would pretty much be like the title of my review says, an end-game delay unit. And after research and countless of videos I ended up choosing the Echosystem. I also own few other units from them, so I knew it would be quality all the way.
The Echosystem just has so many opportunities. Plethora of great sounding algorithms and enough control for each one, but in a really intuitive way. Everything is right under your fingertips, no menu diving etc. Even with all these delay modes available this would be a killer delay unit, but man... when you start to deep dive into the dual line part of it (serial/parallel/stereo), your mind just explodes. So, so many possibilities, as both lines can be what ever. This is especially awesome in the stereo L/R more, as you can made super customised stereo delays. Want to have a pristine digital delay on left and a worn out tape on right? Can do! Want to have the same delay on both but the other one is a bit louder and has a longer feedback with a different timing? Can do!
I've just scratched the surface and am already so, so blown away with the possibilities this thing offers. Empress delivered once again!
Oh and like a true stereo unit should be, this thing is also stereo-in, which means that you can of course run 2x mono instruments in... and even route them to that same L/R setup and have a separate mono delays for both inputs, which is DOPE.
Highly recommended.
