EMG SA Set BK

I was recommended to use these in my guitar build back in 2011 but I think I was considering these anyway. I built a Strato type guitar with bolt on neck and I wanted it to be slightly towards Superstrat guitar. Eventually the guitar came out to be quite like classic Stratocaster but thats perfectly fine and major component making the difference is of course the pickup, or pickups.

EMG SA is perfect for stratocaster. I've used this guitar the most over these 9 years and these pickups offer the versatility to play virtually anything. I've played mostly out of ENGL powerball (v1) and it offers no effects and is suitable for heavy stuff (it does have clean, crunch,
and 2 lead channels) but with these pickups I can find a suitable sound for basically anything.

After all these years I can recommend these pickups for a strat any day. The battery lasts for a long time, don't worry about that. It has been working flawlessly (until recently I've had problem with battery connection which isn't this products fault). So the pots are top quality and it's SUPER easy to install. Just follow the instructions.

Was not too sure about EMG active's in a Strat, but very much needed to replace the standard pick ups in my Mexican Strat and these are just perfect. Keeps that famous Strat bluesy tone and also real good for rock/hard rock. Cleans are just amazing. These surprised me, definitely an improvement on the factory fitted Mexican pickups.

Clean and easy to fit and now I wonder why Guitars are still made using Solder on all the electronics!
But choose your EMG's wisely, as some active pickups are very hot and may not suit your style of Music. The EMG SA set is 100% perfect for the Stratocaster. And many thanks to Thomann for again a great reliable and ultra quick service!
