After playing Fender strings, I tried these and they certainly feel a little different at first, but after getting used to them, I like more slippery surface. Slides are definitely easier than before. Didn't notice a big difference in sound. How long they last remains to be seen, but I've used this set pretty much every day for 6 weeks now, and they still sound great.

Olen käyttänyt näitä jo vuosia koska nämä ei ruostu ja haparru samalla tavalla kuin pinnoittamattomat kielet ja vaihtoväli on paljon pidempi verrattuna ns. perus kieliin. Pinnoite alkaa jossain kohtia hieman toki repsottamaan. En muista että olisin koskaan saanut näitä katki, joten siinäkin mielessä tosi kestävät. Sanoisin että tulevat halvemmiksi pitkässä juoksussa. Saundi on kanssa mielestäni kiva. Ehkä tietyllä tapaa hieman nailonmainen, verrattuna kirkkaisiin pinnoittamattomiin kieliin. 12-53 on mielestäni paras koko kielille omaan Guild OM-120 kitaraan ja sekä plektralla että sormilla soitteluun. Suosittelen.

There is no need for long speeches considering this guitar string. I have tried numerous guitar strings and this is clearly on top; playability, sound, durability & feel. Period. The only minus has to be said, that this product's price has gon up quite a bit.

I like these strings. The coating extends the life of the wound strings and they keep their tone far longer than conventional uncoated strings. The overall covering keeps dirt from the string winding - this is what kills the tone. I was a bit apprehensive about the price, but they last 3 - 4 times longer - and there is the occasional 3 for 2 offer. They are nice and easy on the fingers too. Over my fifty years of guitar playing I have tried many other brands of acoustic strings, big name and budget. Some were great, some were awful, but nothing comes close to maintaining a good tone for a long time like Elixirs. I put these strings on all four of my acoustic guitars - I wouldn't have anything else.
