Great pedal for everybody who play rock or alternative or metal. Billy has really tweaked his sound and now a piece of it is available for bassists around the world. I've been playing for 23 years and I just love this pedal.

Tried several OD pedals until I found this! I love that keeps the low end. With the stereo drive input, I run other fuzz pedals to combine them and get different flavors in top of the great drive it already has.

Favourite overdrive

I struggle with getting a good drive in my Helix Stomp. This EBS pedal solves that for me and I like using it. I use it at every sermon in my church.
- Great tone.
- 2 separate volume pots for the clean and overdrive - I love they did this
instead of a blend knob. I hate balancing the level with a blend knob. This is way better.
- The splitting of the clean and overdriven signal is quite a smart idea. I don't know of other pedals that do that.
- Boost footswitch - allows me to have a low-overdrive sound that is pretty useful in many songs and when I need more dirt I just press the footswitch.
- Compressor is nice to have, although I use mostly my Boss pedal.

Cons - My only complaint is that turning the tone knob to the left can make the sound muddy so you have to play around with that.

Overall, a great pedal and with very smart design ideas. Good job EBS and Billy Sheehan!

Simple, mighty sounding.

As expected, it nails the signature low growl sound that Billy Sheehan is known for, but it's capable of more. The drive works across a relatively narrow (adjustable) frequency spectrum, so no speaker simulators are needed with this unit. It's inspiring and makes me want to play more.
