I use this attenuator home, between 15 Watt amp and 50 Watt speakers, and I also use it as an ID device to draw the signal to the digital recorder. The balanced XLR output is equipped with an amp emulator, which to my ears sounds fine for hard rock and metal. However, when you turn the main volume knob, the emulated sound changes a bit, so you should keep the knob untouched during recordings. Other than that, I can`t find anything bad about this PS1. It is perfect for home use. It needs no power at all, it has 3 options for impedance, emulated XLR, and a line out with a dedicated volume control. But I must point out that I have used this attenuator at a low volume, and my amp is at half power.
