Well worth getting

I'd been reading online on the various Trumpet Players forums about the use of Leadpipes with Piccolo Trumpets. There are different makes of Leadpipes and the Bob Reeves ones seem to get good reviews from players.

They're not widely available from every retailer and I had used Thomann before and they had this Leadpipe for sale at a good price. Note it is designed for the Schilke Piccolo. I have a copy of a Bach Piccolo and it fits fine. It is for Cornet Shank Piccolos. Just bear that in mind.

The results I've had with the new Leadpipe are amazing. Tuning and intonation are much better. The instrument now sounds like a £3000 one. Piccolo Trumpets are, as you probably know, notoriously difficult animals to play and make sound good. This Leadpipe helps in a big way towards improving the instrument.

Well worth buying!!!

Ik gebruik mijn Piccolo trompet meestal in de A stemming. Om van je Bes piccolo een een A piccolo te maken kun je de A-shank van Reeves gebruiken.

De A-Shank van de gerenommeerde mondstukbouwer Reeves werkt perfect. Je krijgt een naadloze aansluiting met je piccolo (i.e.Schilke P5-4) en je mondstuk.

De A-pijp van Schilke vergt een grote investering, dit pijpje is goedkoop en doet hetzelfde.
